Next stop - Ninh Binh,
about 100km from Hanoi
This place is called Tam
Coc, just a few kilometers from Ninh Binh
Here we are entering a
tunnel by boat which was taking us along the Ngo Dong River
A tourist boat followed by
"food and souvenir shop"
She had a peeled pineapple
for sale
It's amazing to see how
well they row with their legs
Tam Coc is known as
"Halong Bay on the Rice Paddies", but there was no rice in December
Our rowing ladies had a
box of souvenirs for sale and we had to say "no" too many times
Early morning in Lenin
Park, Hanoi. Many people come to work out
Some people prefer to
sleep a bit longer

the capital of Vietnam

Grilled dogs. In Vietnam
eating them is as normal as eating chicken or beef for the Europeans
Haircut in the street.
There were 5 or 6 guys working side by side
After an important
football game against Myanmar, a large flag-waving crowd gathered in central Hanoi
The crowd was very excited
about the flag-burning, although they couldn't set it on fire for a
