Tanzania
This is how I imagined
Zanzibar (we found it later)
But it was more like this
at first (beach in Jambiani)
Maasai men roam the
beaches, selling souvenirs and touting tourist services
Seaweed farm at low tide
Seaweed harvest
Maasai wearing red robes
come to Zanzibar from mainland Tanzania
Wedding in Jambiani
Zanzibar is mostly Muslim
Girls walking home from
school
We hired a car and we
used it to visit Mtende beach
It was a stunning place
Mtende
Mtende
Mtende. Tide is coming
Village life
Fresh coconut
You can choose your fish
and have it grilled on the beach
Kendwa beach
Kendwa and Jambiani are
very different
Common sight in Zanzibar
Acrobatic show at sunset
Kendwa is famous for it's
sunsets
On the other side of the
island is a far more beautiful beach
Sand, rocks and no people.
Just perfect
At low tide a beautiful
sandbar appears
Bungalows are already
being built, so it's bound to change soon
It's possible to walk here
from Nungwi (along the eastern side of the island)
Easy to find shade under
volcanic rocks
I saw this fisherman with
octopus and I bought one for dinner
Good bye Zanzibar
