THE LOST WORLD OF RORAIMA part 2 (April 2007) text
Roraima
This place is called
Jacuzzi. Too cold for me!
When we reached La
Ventana (Window) clouds obstructed the view
Waiting was pleasant
When clouds disappeared, we
saw tepui Kukenan
Half the plants of Roraima
don't exist anywhere else
Every tepui
has different fauna and flora
Tepuis
are isolated and that's why different plants develop on top of them
Day 5
Cueva de Guacharos (oil
birds cave)
Without the guide we would
have got lost
In the morning I went to
Maveric again
Roraima
After breakfast we set off
On the way back
We walked all day back to
Paraitepui
His dog didn't fancy a swim!
Kukenan
Traditional houses of Pemon
Indians
Waterfall in Quebrada
de Jaspe
This is red jasper
