Norway 2012
Some people go for
long-distance cycling. It can be demanding in Lofoten because of wind
and rain
The Fredvang Bridges and
Volandstinden mountain
One of my favorite places
in Lofoten - Kvalvika. The nearest road is over 2km away
If you ever go there, take
your tent. There are many places just perfect for camping
Looking towards
Torsfjorden on the way back from Kvalvika
Another amazing day is
coming to an end. Actually, it never got dark at night
Beautiful white-sand beach
in Ramberg. It looks so inviting, but water is very cold
If it was warmer, it would
be full of tourists. So I prefer it this way
Skagsanden beach near
Flagstad. There is big parking with toilets and hot water
It's amazing to find so
much beauty and have it to ourselves
We ended up spending hours
on this beach
I would like to come back
to Lofoten in spring, when mountains are snow-covered
Nusfjord, a very
picturesque fishing village
Nusfjord
Vikten, a few kilometers
off the main road
There is a path along the
coast starting from Vikten. People come here to watch sun sets
Haukland. My dreams of the
perfect camping site came true
We stayed 2 nights here,
exploring the area
Rocks between 2 beaches
near Haukland. No people, at least in the second part of August
There are 2 stunning
beaches with mountains on both sides
Beautiful, even by
Norwegian standards
I knew Lofoten was
special, but I was not prepared for this
We walked the old road to
Utakleiv. There is a tunnel now
If you get caught by rain,
you can wait here
Back in Haukland. Clouds
came in very quickly
Evening in Haukland. There
were 5 or 6 camper vans staying there that night
We decided to go to
Utakleiv again, this time by car through the tunnel
We were rewarded with a
great sun set. The sun appeared unexpectedly between dark clouds
All of the sudden,
mountains started to change colours
Once again, Lofoten took
us by surprise. This one I will never forget
