Kagbeni was my favorite
village of the whole circuit
Late afternoon is the best
time to observe the local people's live
There was something
special about Kagbeni, it feels like a medieval village
Most houses here don't
have running water
The town's pre-Buddhist
protector
In case you didn't notice
it's phallus, here is a close-up
Houses in Kagbeni

and turning prayer wheels
From this point a special
Upper Mustang permit is required. It costs $500 for 10 days
However, looking at Upper
Mustang is free from here
Tourists can visit Upper
Mustang only in a group with a guide. Maybe in my next life...
It never hurts to ask a
tourist for sweets or even money
A photo together? This I
can do!
Morning view down the Kali
Ghandaki valley. Start early to avoid the afternoon wind!
Some say Kali Ghandaki is
the deepest canyon on Earth, with Annapurna and Dhaulagiri on both
sides
Road between Jomsom and
Marpha
The road bypasses Marpha
and has not destroyed the atmosphere
Woman crushing lentils by
turning the stone wheel
A very long bridge across
the Kali Ghandaki river
Village of Khobang. Hotels
are empty because most tourists finish their trek in Jomsom

watermill in Larjung

make flower
Dhaulagiri 8167m. Can you
believe it's 5600m above me?
This type of stairs is
very common here. Did you notice the dog on the roof?
Dhaulagiri Icefall
Cirrus clouds form over
Dhaulagiri
Cirrus clouds form in the
highest and coldest region of the troposphere and are usually composed
of ice crystals.
In Konjo many people came
to have a look at my stove
