In order to see the highest waterfall in the world, I had to fly to Canaima

We went up river Carrao and then Churun until we reached Isla Raton

Falling from Auyan-tepui Salto Angel is 979m high

It the rainy season there is a lot more water

The name has nothing to do with angels but with Jimmie Angel, who landed his plane on top of Auyan-tepui

I decided to visit Cayo Sombrero, a small island in Morrocoy National Park

It took only 20 min by speed boat to get there
